I’ve recently returned from New Mexico, a state we don’t hear much about in New Zealand.
Sandwiched between Arizona and Texas, with Colorado to the north and Mexico to the south it’s no surprise it has a southern feel. If you’re thinking desert, stetsons and pick-up trucks…you’re not far off the mark.
It’s the 5th largest state in the US with only two million people. It isn’t a really hot tourist spot (with the exception of Santa Fe) but we decided to do a bit of a roadie and discovered some great places I’ll share with you over the next week or so.
