Culture and cooking in a Bali

There’s nothing like coming home with a few great recipes when you’ve been somewhere exotic. For me, it’s a great reminder of the holiday, recreating the food we ate.

On our recent trip to Bali we visited Ubud, a small town set among rice paddies in central Bali. It’s regarded as the cultural epicentre and is far removed from Seminyak and Kuta in the South. It’s worth a trip to get a taste of the real Bali. A delightful Balinese couple, Wayan and Puspa run the cooking school from their home so as well as preparing and eating all these delicious dishes we got a glimpse into Balinese life.
