I’m on my way to Switzerland, with a big thanks to my host, Swiss Tourism. I leave tonight to discover the magic of the alps and this is what I’ll be doing.
I’ll start in Zurich and head south on Swiss rail to the quaint and picturesque town of Zermatt to explore the region including riding the Gornergrat cog railway to the ridge and hiking down. From here I’ll see the Matterhorn, in all its glory as the weather is going to be divine.
Then the Glacier Express will take me east to The Grisons for a few days where I’ll explore St Moritz, Muottas Muragl and Pontresina. I’m told the alpine beauty here will literally take my breath away.
On route I’ll be stopping in London to catch my breath as well as visiting the Shard, London’s new emblem, for a tipple with an old friend. I’ll let you know what the view is like.
Sounds like a great trip and I am looking forward to reading about it
Sounds wonderful. Safe travels xx
