I recently submitted this story about our southern ocean zoo to International Traveller Magazine. They loved it and published it. The Birds and the Seas

Albatross — One of many albatrosses we saw, soaring above us at Taiaroa Head.

Fur seals 2 — A young bull tries to join a harem of females but the mature bull won’t hear of it and pushes him back into the ocean.

Stewart Island Shag — This cliff face is home to hundreds of Stewart Island shags and their chimney pot nests. They face the prevailing wind for easy take-offs.
