If you are looking for a hotel with a point of difference that’s not a big name look at the Ameritania. It won’t break the bank and you will be pleasantly surprised.
It’s in a great location and has helpful staff prepared to go the extra mile.
The hotel is in the Theater District on the corner of 54th and Broadway, within easy walking distance of Central Park, Time Square and 5th Avenue. There is a metro station across the road.
Our room had two double beds with sumptuous Belgian linen but the beds aren’t big so check you have a queen or king bed if you are sharing.
The lobby and bar area is modern and vibrant and illuminated with chandeliers. The barman Javier, in the Twist Lounge is delightful and very generous with his refills.
The hotel has free Wi-Fi , a gym, much needed blackout curtains and fantastic over sized full length mirrors in the rooms
