Dear Blog the Globe followers,
I hope you are all doing well despite the Covid disruptions and lack of international travel.

Like you, Blog the Globe has suffered with no real travel and lockdown restrictions have meant the number of posts I’ve published has significantly diminished. I’ve tried to be positive, making plans and booking activities and accommodation, all the while telling myself life must go on amidst Covid. Yet the reality has been quite the opposite, spending tedious hours unpicking what I’ve have planned, unsure when to rebook.
But the good news is, while Omicron is knocking on our door, our Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern has reassured us there will be no full on lockdowns.
So, it’s time to get out and really start exploring. I’ve recently enjoyed these locations while maximising my time exploring New Zealand, so if you’ve missed the posts, take a look at them.

Hollyford Track- Put your tramping boots on learn about those that walked before you
Why Stewart Island exceeded my expectation
While we are enjoying a magnificent summer, winter will be here before we know it. Last September I skied the Tasman Glacier, two 10 kilometre runs among the highest mountains in New Zealand.

My next post is about this incredible experience, hopefully something to get you excited and planning.
Stay safe.
